Bestmarked is built to work without collecting personal data. This page explains what that means in practice.
Your timed attempts, splits, events, and personal records are stored locally on your device. Bestmarked does not require an account, and does not upload your times to a server.
Bestmarked's one-time Pro upgrade is processed through Google Play Billing. Payment details are handled entirely by Google — Bestmarked never receives or stores your payment information. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google Play handles this.
If you have Android backup enabled, your attempt history may be included in your device's backup so it can be restored when you set up a new phone. That backup is handled by Android and Google, not by Bestmarked, and is covered by your device's own backup settings.
Practice reminders are optional and scheduled entirely on your device. Enabling them requires your permission, and no reminder data is sent anywhere.
If you use the CSV export feature, the file is generated and saved on your device, or shared through whichever app you choose. If you share a personal record card, the image is created on your device and handed to the app you select. Bestmarked does not transmit exported data anywhere on its own.
You can clear all stored attempts and events at any time from the app's Settings screen. Uninstalling Bestmarked also removes its local data from your device.
Bestmarked does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information from any user.
If this policy changes — for example, if a future version adds optional cloud sync — this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
