BESTMARKED does not collect, transmit, or retain personal data. This page explains what that means in practice.
Your timed attempts, splits, events, and personal records are stored locally on your device. BESTMARKED does not require an account, and does not upload your times to a server.
BESTMARKED does not collect, transmit, or store any user data on servers operated by BESTMARKED or IS-AI Systems LLC. BESTMARKED itself never transmits your data anywhere, so there is no server-side data for us to retain and no retention period applies to us. The one exception is Android's own device backup, described below, which is operated by Google under your device settings rather than by BESTMARKED.
All data the app creates — your timed attempts, splits, events, and personal records — is written only to local storage on your own device. It is retained on your device for as long as you keep the app installed, or until you delete it yourself. You can delete all stored data at any time from the app's Settings screen, and uninstalling BESTMARKED removes all of its local data from your device. Deletion is immediate and permanent; BESTMARKED retains no copy.
The only exception is your purchase record for the one-time Pro upgrade, which is retained by Google Play as part of your Google account, not by BESTMARKED. See Google's Privacy Policy for how long Google retains transaction records.
BESTMARKED's one-time Pro upgrade is processed through Google Play Billing. Payment details are handled entirely by Google — BESTMARKED never receives or stores your payment information. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google Play handles this.
If you have Android backup enabled, your attempt history may be included in your device's backup so it can be restored when you set up a new phone. That backup is handled by Android and Google, not by BESTMARKED, and is covered by your device's own backup settings. Retention of that backup is governed by Google's backup and account policies, not by BESTMARKED, and you can disable it in your device's backup settings.
Practice reminders are optional and scheduled entirely on your device. Enabling them requires your permission, and no reminder data is sent anywhere.
If you use the CSV export feature, the file is generated and saved on your device, or shared through whichever app you choose. If you share a personal record card, the image is created on your device and handed to the app you select. BESTMARKED does not transmit exported data anywhere on its own.
BESTMARKED does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information from any user.
If this policy changes — for example, if a future version adds optional cloud sync — this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
